Software – very good

Big improvements have been made with the Microgaming software since the last set of upgrades on the Prima Network. Everything runs smoothly and there are some really nice in-play features to keep your interest, as well as follow your stats. Microgaming have really managed to come up with a fresh new look and feel with the ever popular “add your own avatar” feature being a welcome customizable tool.

Playability – good

Very easy to use at the table with clearly marked buttons and nice post fold features to track your hands. The look and colour scheme is pleasant. The lobby takes some getting used to but is in general sensibly laid out.

Traffic – good

Due to it’s network of players, there is plenty of traffic at most levels especially during peak hours.

Support – adequate

Not the fastest support in the world and often with inaccurate responses. You may have to send 2 or 3 messages to get the answers you require. Cash out speed is slow but generally problem free.

Summary – good

PokerHost is essentially a US friendly site. Nevertheless, they do not accept players from these US states (abbreviated): IL, IN, LA, MI, NV, NJ, NY, OR, SD, WA and WI. As part of the Prima Poker Network, they share players across all the Prima sites that are essential carbon copies of each other with just a variation of skins and different promotions. You can have numerous accounts on the Prima Poker network.

The big plus with PokerHost and the other Prima sites are the numerous promotions and freerolls on offer although it should be noted that most bonuses have a limited play through time.

Extra Information:

Qualifying raked hands must be completed at minimum $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit/No Limit or $1.00/$2.00 Fixed Limit tables in order to be counted towards the requirement. Deposit Point Hands are hands played on real money tables only and where PokerHost receives a commission. If the real money pot does not reach the minimum requirement for rake ($5) then it will not qualify as part of the minimum hands played before the bonus will be issued. In order to count as a raked hand towards the bonus, player must contribute to the pot.
