Eco pure is used for the natural reduction of blanket weed and algae. It is a biological product that has beneficial strains of denitrifying bacteria bio-fixed to a dense powder catalyst. Eco-Pure is non chemical and is 100% fish safe. The powder gives additional benefits of flocculating particle matter in suspension and increases water clarity. Eco-Pure works down to a water temperature of 6C. The problem with blanket weed is that onceit starts to grow it is like garden weeds, it keeps coming back! If you use detrimental chemicals to eradicate it, inevitably it returns! The best way to tackle the weed is to reduce it's food sources so natural die back can take place, and further growth is stifled Eco-pure is designed to be added to the pond regularly to keep the growth low. With Eco-Pure it is possible to reduce growth down and to maintain the level at about 10 mm. Blanket weed can grow very fast, it draws it's nutrients from the water in the form of Nitrates & Phosphates, and is accelerated by sunlight and oxygen. The bad news for us is that fish actually excrete soluble Phosphate, and our filters produce Nitrate at the end of the nitrifying cycle. In an enclosed pond the levels of both naturally
increase over time and before you know it, you can be harvesting blanket weed weekly! Changing water can be fruitless as most public water supplies contain Nitrates & Phosphates that will only add to the problem. Eco-Pure added weekly will reduce blanket weed by reducing its food source. Bacteria coat the blanket weed starving the weed of food, this will initially break up long strands as it looses strength. After regular use it should reduce down to minimal growth. Every pond is different! In some ponds Eco-Pure can work in 2 weeks, most ponds can take 2 - 4 weeks. Use Eco-Pure early in the season do not wait for it to grow in other words use it in a regular preventive approach.

Eco boost sachets are each rated up to ponds of 5,000 gallons. Another non chemical bacterial supplement, a stronger formula for additional rapid reduction of blanket weed this sachet only works at 12C and above. Use once a month, or as required, to help rapidly reduce the dreaded weed. Eco-boost can be used at the same time as Eco-Pure as an accelerator, or alone. Dissolve sachet into a bucket of pond water then add to pond. Switch any UV off for 5 days as this product makes a liquid solution. (Size treats up to 5,000 galls per sachet)
